Zack Love's Sex in the Title Book Trailer:

New York City, May 2000. The Internet bubble has burst and Evan, a computer programmer, is fired with an email from his boss. The next day, his girlfriend dumps him, also via email. Afraid to check any more emails, Evan desperately seeks a rebound romance but the catastrophes that ensue go from bad to hilariously worse.

Fortunately, Evan meets Sammy -- someone whose legendary disasters with females eclipse even his own. To reverse their fortunes, they recruit their friends -- Trevor, Yi, and Carlos -- to form a group of five guys who take on Manhattan in pursuit of dates, sex, and adventure.

When Evan, a closet writer, falls desperately in love with a Hollywood starlet, he schemes to meet her by writing a novel that will sweep her off her feet. Sammy knows nothing about publishing but is confident of one thing: Evan's book should have the word "sex" in the title.

With musings about life, relationships, and human psychology, this quintessential New York story about the search for happiness follows five men on their comical paths to trouble, self-discovery, and love

LOVE this book trailer for Zack Love's Sex in the Title! :)

A GREAT COLLECTION OF SHORT STORIES!

Stories and Scripts: an Anthology - Zack Love

I've read 6 of the 7 short stories in this collection by Zack Love and I've enjoyed them all. Whether he's writing a beautiful love story, a zany stage play with silly banter, or an insightful, thought-provoking and quite moving story about 9/11, Zack never fails to pull you into his stories! In this anthology, he illustrates the beauty, depth and range of his awesome writing and story telling abilities. Zack truly puts his heart and soul into everything he writes!

If you've read Zack's novel, Sex in the Title, but haven't ventured into reading any of his short stories, this is an excellent chance (and price!) to read more of his fabulous works.

Here are my reviews of Zack's stories in "Stories and Scripts: an Anthology" --

THE DOORMAN:

The Doorman is an inspiring and thought-provoking short story.
It struck a cord with me, especially since I live so close to NYC and could totally appreciate Alex' thoughts and reactions towards his experiences in the story.
For those of you who have read Zack Love's Sex in the Title, this novelette is a departure from Zack's witty, silly and humorous anecdotes, showcasing his amazing ability to write a thoughtful, deep and beautiful story.
If you haven't yet read any of Zack's works, I highly recommend this short story as an excellent introduction to his awesome writing!

CENTRAL PARK SONG:

In his Latin epic poem, The Aeneid, Roman poet Virgil wrote, "Omnia Vincit Amor" which means, "Love Conquers All" And that's exactly what Zack Love writes about in Central Park Song! This screenplay is about Rodney and Melinda, two totally different people from two totally different worlds. As both search for their true dreams and desires, they meet and their connection is immediate. And as is always true with life and love, there are many obstacles that are in their way. I don't want to spoil the story by telling you anymore, but I will say that Zack Love has written an awesome love story here and his words weave a tale that is beautiful, touching and heartwarming! And definitely a must read! :)

One of my favorite quotes (among many) from Central Park Song: "I think the love completes the soul. Just like knowledge completes the mind"

CITY SOLIPSISM:

Beautifully written, City Solipsism allows the reader to get a glimpse into the mind of a man, Jack, who is taking his normal, boring commute into his NYC job. Boring until he spots an attractive woman who just so happens to board the same subway car as Jack and shares the same metal pole with him. Intrigued by this beauty, Jack shares with us his thoughts, memories, hope and desires... all invoked by this mysterious, beautiful stranger. Oh and the ending? Won't spoil it for you but if you've read "Sex In The Title" by Zack, then you will know that it is DEFINITELY Zack Love...True To Form!

WAITING FOR 2000 - AN ABSURDIST COMEDY OF BILLIONAIRE PROPORTIONS:

You know those days when you come home from work (Usually on a Monday!) after having a grueling, stressful day? When all you want to do is wind down and relax, but walk through the door only to find that your cat has puked up a fur ball on your brand new area rug and the kids have piled dirty dishes sky high in the sink instead of putting them in the dishwasher? You know that feeling ... you just need a break- an escape from reality! Well, Zack Love's "Waiting for 2000" is DEFINITELY that escape! Zack's stage play takes you aboard a cruise ship on a comedic adventure with a boatful of zany crewmembers and overly eccentric billionaire guests. Throw in a couple of jealous, bumbling Wall Street traders into the mix and more craziness ensues! True to Zack Love's witty writing form, "Waiting for 2000" provides you with lots of laughs and head shaking theatrical moments that will undoubtedly make your bad day so much better!

My Best Valentine's Day.Ever and My Worst Valentine's Day.Ever are both short stories about two of the main characters from Zack's hilariously witty first novel, "Sex in the Title". These two stories are just as witty and funny as his novel and these characters still carry on with their silliness in the short stories.

*****The Grand Unified Story is a new story from Zack and I can't wait to read it :)

The Syrian Virgin - Zack Love

Beautifully Haunting Video for Zack Love's novel, "The Syrian Virgin"

Anissa Toma fled war-torn Syria after narrowly escaping the massacre of her Christian family by Islamists. Fortunate enough to rebuild her shattered life in New York City, the young refugee gained admission to an elite college, where she excelled. Her beauty, brains, and purity soon captured the interest of two powerful men: Michael, an activist working to establish Antioch, the first Mideast Christian state, and Julien, her professor and one of the city’s wealthiest bachelors.

As Anissa's saga continues, the refugee-turned-rising-star must navigate between Michael and Julien, while trying to help her surviving relatives and other vulnerable Christians in Syria. As she gets closer to both men in a complex and evolving love triangle, can she unlock Julien's traumatic childhood to open up his heart? Or will Julien find greater solace from his nightmares and other demons in the sessions with his intriguing therapist? What will Michael do for Antioch and for Anissa, and what will Julien's role be? How far will each person go to help Anissa's remaining family and other persecuted Christians at risk in Syria? Find out in this stunning sequel to "The Syrian Virgin.

Another Brilliant, Beautifully Written Book by Zack Love!!

Anissa's Redemption: A Young Woman's Saga from War in Syria to Love in NY Continues (The Syrian Virgin Series Book 2) - Zack Love

Just when I thought that Zack Love had written his most impressive novel to date when he wrote "The Syrian Virgin", he pleasantly surprises me with “Anissa’s Redemption!” I had such a book hangover afterward that it took awhile for me to come out of my literary fog.

Many times when a book I really love ends with a cliffhanger, I find myself hanging onto those last few words and images in hopes that the sequel will be written soon after so that I won’t forget all of its excitement and the feelings the writer has evoked. I worry, too, that with all the anticipation and expectation leading up to the sequel, in the end, it will fall short and leave me disappointed with the series.

This was DEFINITELY not the case with Zack Love’s sequel to “The Syrian Virgin” called “Anissa’s Redemption.” In fact, it was so much better than I ever imagined it would be and it did NOT disappoint!

In “Anissa’s Redemption”, I loved how (seemingly) effortless it was for Zack to pick up where he ended in “The Syrian Virgin” and how from the very beginning, the plot and all his characters continued to evolve and develop throughout. Zack’s intelligent writing and extensive research also continued to paint an accurate and compelling portrayal of the religious struggles caused by Syrian Civil War. But what I loved most about “Anissa’s Redemption was his brilliant ability to peel away more and more of Anissa, Michael and Julien’s "layers" to reveal their true selves and their darkest secrets before the readers’ eyes and not only make them appear more human, but more endearing as well.

In writing "Anissa’s Redemption", Zack created an exciting and quite an emotional roller coaster ride and with every twist and turn of events, he takes his readers through many surprising developments and defining moments!

Definitely a must read!

Zack Love’s most impressive novel to date!!!

The Syrian Virgin - Zack Love

I loved this book! From the first chapter to the last, “The Syrian Virgin” pulled me in and wouldn’t let me go until I came out the other side. You can tell that Zack Love really put his heart and soul into writing “The Syrian Virgin”. All the time, effort, (and I’m sure, all the blood, sweat and tears) he put into researching and writing EVERY aspect of this book is TRULY evident!

In “The Syrian Virgin”, Zack’s writing is so realistic … it makes you feel like you’re living the story along with Anissa, the young Syrian woman who is the central character in the novel. You feel her pain and her struggle. I felt heartbroken for her and I literally cried for her as I read it.

Zack painted a detailed picture of what’s really going on in Syria and the Middle East. For Anissa and her family, life was very difficult in war-torn Syria. He highlighted the difficulties of being a part of the Christian minority amongst warring groups. It’s a scary picture and more people should be aware of it.

When Anissa arrives in New York, she becomes involved with two very different men. Michael is totally immersed in his activism and doesn’t seem to want to commit to a relationship. On the other hand, her relationship with Julien is very complicated as he is fighting demons of his own.

In my opinion, this is Zack Love’s most impressive novel to date. I really enjoyed the way he wove his characters and their struggles into current events. You could really feel Zack’s passion for this subject and his desire to share it with his readers. I cannot wait for the sequel!

A HILAROUS AND WITTY READ!!!

Sex in the Title: A Comedy about Dating, Sex, and Romance in NYC (Back When Phones Weren't So Smart) - Zack Love

Sex In The Title is a romantic comedy written in a guy's POV. It's a book about about 5 guys in NYC looking for love, sex and relationships but then discovering and learning alot about themselves along the way.

I really LOVED this book! I instantly fell in love with each of the 5 characters even with all their quirky personalities, crazy ideas about sex and love and the insane and almost unbelievable situations they found themselves in throughout the book! I was either laugh and shaking my head or yelling, "You have GOT to be kidding me! That just didn't happen!"

In Sex In The Title, Zack Love takes you on a witty, hilarious, crazy ride though the minds (and hearts) of these 5 guys.
They'll have you laughing out laugh, yelling and cheering them on, and even pulling at your heartstrings! Definitely a GREAT READ :)

"“Oh no. I'm not gonna let you leave yet. I'm gonna show you the value of takin' your time to get to work. I probably should have done this a long time ago.”

"“So...Now that we got that over with, let's get back to love at first sight, Evan said.
Not infatuation at first sight...Love. With a capital L, he clarified.
Love? Heeb asked, playfully pretending not to know the concept.
Yeah. The real thing. The conviction that if you had this one woman, all other women would become irrelevant. You'd never again be unhappy And you'd give up anything to have her and keep her.
You've experienced that?
Only once. And I haven't stopped thinking about it ever since.
Tell me more.
Sometimes I think that I still chase women just to forget about her. Because I know I can never have her. But I can't seem to forget about her, no matter what girl I'm chasing...No one can possibly compare....
Who is she?
Delilah, Evan said wistfully.
Delilah?, asked Heeb, intrigued
Delilah Nakova, Evan replied, with a hint of awe and reverence in his voice.”
